Storytelling in ELT: teaching grammar through stories. Ep. 2!
What better way to start the morning than with a wonderful session with amazing teachers and storytellers ready to experiment, learn and share?
A HUMONGOUS thank you to Evi, Natalia, Tina, Effie and Sanja (who unfortunately is not in the picture)!
In this second edition of the ‘Storytelling in ELT: teaching grammar through stories’ workshop, we looked at how to teach grammar in a creative and fun way using storytelling.
Just like all my other storytelling workshops for teachers - whether they lean more on being ELT/ESL workshops or storytelling workshops - it was a hands-on teacher training workshop, to acquire english teaching resources and then immediately experiment with the ideas and concepts learnt.
We all know that teaching English as a second language / teaching English as a foreign language is an extremely satisfying endeavour - but sometimes the amount of preparatory work we need to do makes it difficult to find the time and energy to experiment with new methods. This is one of the reasons I am offering these ESL teacher training workshops, to share my research in the world of Storytelling in ELT - ranging from Creative exam preparation, to make Exam Preparation for the KEY and PRELIMINARY Cambridge Exams fun and creative using Storytelling, to Teaching grammar through stories.
